Coaching Skills for Leadership

Delivered by Emma Haughton & Deb Barnard from Relational Dynamics 1st, these 1-day sessions explore the key principles of coaching and how they can be used to enhance leadership skills and improve collaborative working, communication and professional relationships. A coaching skill set can be readily applied to those interested in the concept of shared leadership and collective responsibility. A coaching style of leadership provokes, coaches and guides meaningful, investigative learning and problem-solving processes.

The training style encourages discussion and participants practice techniques through a series of exercises. Topics explored in the training include:

  • Foundation coaching skills: philosophy and application
  • Active listening
  • Goal setting and reviewing
  • Effective enquiry
  • The GROW model of coaching
  • Group coaching (using a simplified Action Learning model)
  • Coaching cultures and a coaching style of leadership
  • Applications within the workplace.
  • The course is accompanied by a small, practical manual.

Running online (via Zoom) between 10:00 – 16:30 on:

  • Tuesday 25 January, 2022
  • Monday 31 January, 2022

More dates to follow in Spring 2022.
