The Access to Work (AtW) policy team will be running a workshop in September based on Access to Work Workplace Assessments for people who are Deaf/with Hearing Loss. The session will be co-led by a Deaf member of staff, Graham Beckwith.
Date: Thurs 13 Sep.
Time: 13.00-16.00.
Venue: Kennington Jobcentre Office, 206 -210 Kennington Park Road London SE11 4DE
The aim of the workshop is to understand how the useful current AtW assessments are for Deaf/hearing loss customers and to gather participants’ insights/views on what an assessment should include. An agenda and pre-workshop questions will be circulated to participants ahead of the event.
We are keen for a broad range of people with various characteristics to attend the workshop, including:
– Young people who are in, about to start, or thinking about applying for work,
– People at different levels of seniority, from entry-level and early career employees to senior management,
– People who are current or previous AtW award holders,
– People who have had an AtW workplace assessment since June 2017.
If you are interested please send an email confirmation of interest/attendance to Nicholas Gribit: NICHOLAS.GRIBIT@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK and Graham Beckwith: GRAHAM.BECKWITH@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK.
DWP will cover travel expenses and reasonable adjustments, including BSL interpreters.
