Screen Arts Institute targeting BAME and female filmmakers

The Screen Arts Institute is conducting free half-day story development workshops as part of recruitment for their upcoming Pro Story Development and Marketing Scheme – which begins in September and runs through to January 2017. They are looking to recruit BAME and female filmmakers in particular. See below on how to apply.

Workshops take place at the BFI Southbank on:

Wednesday 20th July
Thursday 21st July
Wednesday 27th July
Thursday 28th July
Wednesday 3rd August
Thursday 4th August

Workshops run from:
10.30am to 1.30pm
Or
2pm – 5pm

There are 6 places available on each half-day workshop. There are no formal deadlines but workshops will be filled as soon as the Screen Arts Institute receive approaches from talented filmmakers. Applicants should email mailto:stephen.may@thescreenartsinstitute.com ASAP with:

1.  A logline and one-page pitch of the major project that you think you’d like to develop if accepted onto the programme. (600 words max. Use Courier 12pt)
2.  A cv of relevant education and professional experience.
3.  A script sample (completed film) if available.
4.  A short statement expressing why you would like to work with the Screen Arts Institute.
