The Creative Diversity Network (CDN) has today announced that Deborah Williams is joining the organisation as Executive Director.

Prior to working at Arts Council England, she worked as a consultant and producer across the arts, public and private sectors
John McVay, Chair of the Creative Diversity Network and Chief Executive of Pact said: “Deborah combines a wealth of experience dealing with diversity and inclusion with extensive knowledge of the creative industries through her work at the BFI so she’s a perfect fit for the role. I’m delighted that someone of her calibre will be joining the CDN team and taking the organisation to the next level.”
Deborah Williams added: “I’m really excited to be joining CDN and continuing to build its membership and operations. In particular, I’m looking forward to developing Diamond, which is the most innovative diversity data monitoring system of its kind anywhere in the world. And, ultimately working with broadcasters, producers and others to ensure that diverse talent on and off screen is supported to succeed across every aspect of the television industry.”
As well as continuing to develop the Diamond diversity monitoring scheme which is due to issue its first reports in 2017, Deborah will also be responsible CDN’s forthcoming diversity databases and online diversity resource. She will be joining CDN in the middle of November.
