BAFTA Crew is back and bigger than before! Are you working in film or TV production and based outside of London? If so, then joining BAFTA Crew will place you at the heart of a professional network with access to the best industry talent working in film and TV today.
This year, BAFTA Crew is expanding to the nations, welcoming applicants from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as those based outside the capital to join this year-long networking and skills development programme. They’re looking for up to 300 of the brightest ‘below the line’ crew talent – whether camera, art department, sound, costume, post-production (VFX and editing), hair and make-up or production management.
The joining fee for the year is just £15 (£10 for returning BAFTA Crew participants), giving you access to a range of benefits, including:
- live masterclasses with some of the film industry’s most established HoDs, drawn from a pool of major BAFTA winners and nominees.
- a series of interactive live streamed Q&As, focusing on a range of craft and technical subjects from professionals with BAFTA-nominated credits.
- online social networking for BAFTA Crew members.
- a series of bespoke networking events for BAFTA Crew members and local industry, run in partnership with Creative England.
Masterclasses will focus mainly on feature film production, but BAFTA Crew is open to professionals with experience in TV too. Last year’s masterclasses featured BAFTA-nominated talent such as cinematographer Sean Bobbitt (12 Years a Slave), costume designer Sandy Powell (The Wolf of Wall Street), production designer Eve Stewart (Les Miserables) and make up artist Lois Burwell (Lincoln).
