We are pleased to announce seven people have been appointed to our pan-industry Commissioner Development Programme launched earlier this year.

The programme aims to increase the diversity of talent at Commissioning level, with participation by all the major broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV and Sky across genres including Drama, Factual and Sport. The seven candidates will work in commissioning teams and take part in an executive development programme of master-classes, workshops and networking events supported by Creative Skillset’s TV Skills Fund and delivered by thinkBIGGER Ltd.

Edi Smockum, Director of thinkBIGGER said: “The broadcasters have recruited a brilliant cohort for the first Commissioner Development Programme with a range of skills and experience – we are looking forward to watching their development over the year.”

The seven successful candidates are: Marvyn Benoit (Sky, Factual), Ninder Billing (Channel 5, Factual), Manpreet Dosanjh (Channel 4, Drama) Asif Hasan (BBC, Factual), Nasfim Haque (Channel 4, Factual), Satmohan Panesar (ITV, Factual) and Andy Stevenson (Channel 4, Sport).
