Eclipse is seeking a dynamic and inspirational Executive Director. This new senior management role will work closely with the Artistic Director/CEO to lead the company during this period of growth and development. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Eclipse team to play a pivotal role in shaping strategic plans for our future.
The successful candidate will be a leader and a collaborator who is excited by enabling artists and big creative ideas. They should want to do what everyone says can’t be done. They need to care about Black culture, artists and making ambitious new work.
Passionate about making change to the cultural landscape, the Executive Director will drive action, build partnerships and lead on delivering our ambitious strategic aims and objectives.

Eclipse is the UK’s foremost Black-led production company, at the vanguard of delivering diverse programming in theatre, film and radio across the country. Led by Artistic Director/CEO, Dawn Walton, Eclipse is a National Portfolio Organisation funded by Arts Council England. In recognition of the growth of the company, Eclipse was awarded a 66% uplift in the latest Arts Council funding round. Alongside a programme of original Black British theatre, film and radio (Black Men Walking) there’s a groundbreaking Independent Black Artists movement (Slate) and international projects it couldn’t be a more exciting time to join.
It is our mission to use the Black British experience to create new work that will enrich Britain’s mainstream media. Over the last four years Eclipse has been developing and growing two unique national and international movements: Revolution Mix and Slate: Black. Arts. World.
